Gunnar Christensen
Executive Vice President, Security
Gunnar Christensen currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Security, of Intellidome Advanced Lighting & Security Systems.
Mr. Christensen received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from University of Nebraska. He is the president and CEO of Direct Insight Services, Inc., which is a private sector surveillance and investigation agency. He has worked in the private sector in the surveillance and security industry for 20 years with an emphasis on surveillance, fraud detection and behavior analysis.
While he has maintained and operated this company since its inception in 1997, Mr. Christensen has established several other companies that impact the private security sector. Also owned by Direct Insight Services, Inc. is Direct Insight Advanced Digital Systems – a company established and designed to fill the need of IP based electronic video surveillance systems where he has designed and created various versions of rapidly deployable land-based cellular IP video systems, allowing remote access to surveillance operations worldwide.
Through Mr. Christensen’s capabilities of advanced digital systems integration and electronic surveillance, his companies have deployed internet-based video distribution systems for law enforcement and military robotics applications.
Mr. Christensen also formed Direct Insight Location Systems, as he has an extensive background in commercial transportation and how it relates to cargo theft, insurance losses and asset tracking. He recognizes the unique risks and threat to the ever-growing transportation industry for over-the-road trucking and containerized freight, as well as the need to securely and safely detect and scan cargo utilizing K9 teams and advanced detection technologies.
A company called Mac Surveillance was formed as a subsidiary to target and deploy Apple-based surveillance systems to the growing Apple centric community. These systems provide a solution for the growing need of mobile video distribution.
Mr. Christensen has created an environment where all of these systems and solutions work seamlessly together to become a unique solutions-based private security company.
Mr. Christensen is a certified and full member of BPAT (Business Partners Against Terrorism), an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Department of Homeland Security task force and data fusion center. He sits on the council of the private security sector and the transportation sector of this group. Mr. Christensen is a certified K9 handler with training in explosives and narcotics detection.
